The Need
Glycosyn is developing products to address infectious diarrhea, traveler’s diarrhea and animal health.

Science
Recent advances in glycobiology provide the opportunity to develop more effective classes of therapeutics, diagnostics, and functional foods to prevent or ameliorate major infectious and chronic disease worldwide.
Glycosyn LLC was founded in 2002 to research, develop and market products based on 30 years of pioneering research into the biochemistry and biology of human milk. Products are in development to combat infant diarrhea, the annual cause of over 2 million deaths worldwide; to inhibit traveler’s diarrhea; and to diagnose and treat other chronic and fatal infant and childhood diseases, including necrotizing enterocolitis.

Glycosyn has partnered with Professor Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Peace Prize, 2006) and The Grameen Bank for distribution of our products to the global poor. Our research focuses on novel methods of glycan synthesis and investigating how these glycans inhibit specific human pathogens.
